Welcome to the future of drilling

Offshore rig inspections face several challenges due to the environment and conditions in which they operate, such as accessibility issues, logistical challenges and cost management. A single offshore drilling rig consists of an enormous amount of equipment, so putting together a report that is both adequate and compliant with industry standards, can be troubling and time-consuming.

    An Azenzus use case

The Azenzus Inspection Manager is employed by Seadrill to carry out technical inspections on offshore drilling rigs, with the primary aims of reducing time spent on the rig (lowering costs) and streamlining the reporting process. This particular inspection covers all critical equipment, including BOP’s, top drives, drawworks, mud pumps, cranes, engines, and lifeboats. The system includes tailored templates for both drillships and jack-up rigs, aligned with their respective sets of equipment. Asset assessments are conducted using a four-level scoring system, which generates average scores for each item of equipment, the major equipment groups, and the rig as a whole. This enables comparisons across inspections, allowing the tracking of trends in equipment condition over time.

The final report consolidates all observations, findings, and corrective actions, complete with photographic evidence and inspector comments. Management can then take prompt action to address risks, reduce equipment failures, and minimise downtime.

    Drilling Inspection

“Implementing the new Azenzus inspection software for our offshore rig inspectors has revolutionized the way we operate. The software’s intuitive design and powerful capabilities have significantly improved our inspection process.
The software’s comprehensive reporting tools have streamlined our workflow. Generating detailed inspection reports used to be a time-consuming task, but now it’s automated and instantaneous. This efficiency has allowed our technical leaders to focus more on critical analysis and problem-solving rather than paperwork.
Additionally, the support provided by the Azenzus team has been outstanding. They offer extensive training and support and are readily available for any questions or issues that have arisen. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is evident and greatly
    appreciated.
Overall, the inspection software has become an integral part of our daily operations and rig inspections. It not only ensures the integrity and safety of our rigs but also boosts our operational efficiency. I highly recommend it to any organization in the offshore industry looking to enhance their inspection and maintenance processes.”
